Beautiful Brixton flat available for rent: mid-March 2016, £1,450/month
This beautiful flat is in a mansion block less than a 4 minute walk from Brixton underground station. The property consists of two bedrooms (configured as bedroom and large study), two bathrooms (one is en suite), living room, dining kitchen, significant attic storage space, and a spacious south-facing roof terrace. Wooden floors throughout, and conveniences include washing machine, dishwasher, very stylish fridge freezer, and a brand new boiler. The flat comes furnished. It's on the fourth floor (top), with lift. It is perfect for a couple.
The price, £1,450/month, is a little below market rates. In return, you will manage the practicalities of any day to day issues that may arise with the flat, as we will be out of the country (though of course we will be available and very happy to discuss any issues, and pay for any works required). |

Location
Transport: A three or four-minute walk from Brixton underground station and Brixton train station. The Victoria line makes travel anywhere in London a speedy affair. And there are numerous buses just outside the flat.
For doctors: an 11 minute walk to Lambeth Hospital, 25 minute walk to Kings/Maudsley/IoP (and of course buses make it much faster). And less than half an hour to any of St Thomas, Guys, University College Hospital, St Marys, etc. This is the most convenient location in which we have ever lived.
Area: This is a perfect area: within a 2-5 minute walk you have Pop Brixton and Brixton Village which are full of hipster cafes, bars, restaurants, etc, as well as Brixton leisure centre, the O2 Academy, and the Ritzy cinema. More practically, the flat is very close to several supermarkets (Sainsburys is a one minute walk!), and all sorts of useful shops. Plus it's just a 15 minute walk to lovely Brockwell Park. Set in a cul de sac, it is surprisingly quiet for being in such a hub, and being near the police station means we feel particularly safe when walking home.
